Scarecrow Trail 2016

In October the PTFA hosted their annual Scarecrow Trail. As well as the fantastic scarecrows there were also stalls to browse, faces to be painted, tombolas to be won and freshly pressed apple juice to sip. It was a lovely day and the news of our hedgehog hotels must have spread because we had a very special, very prickly visitor.

Summer Fayre

In July the P.T.F.A and school staff worked together to hold our Summer Fayre.

Scarecrow Trail

We celebrated all things Autumn with the P.T.F.A Scarecrow Trail. The event was attended by over 50 families and raised £748.40. The children loved making scarecrow puppets and decorating biscuits. There was also a selection of games and activities and even face painting. We would like to say a big "thank you" to everyone who helped with, and attended the event.

In April the P.T.F.A held a ceilidh to raise funds for school. The event was a huge success and lots of fun!

Supporting Parents Evening

A big thank you to the PTFA members to supported us during parents evening. They did a brilliant job of keeping everyone topped up with refreshments. We are also pleased to announce that the PTFA are holding ceilidh in April and that tickets are still available for the event.

Coin Collecting

Here at Cleadon Church of England Academy we’re busy fundraising by collecting old British or foreign coins and notes (even obsolete currency). Initially you'll see lots of posters around the school as well as the collection bucket. Once all the currency has been collected we send it to it to who will exchange it into cash we can use. The bucket will be in in school all year.

Parents Evening

During parents evening our dedicated P.T.F.A members were on hand to supply tea, coffee and sweet treats to parents children and staff. They raised a fantastic £80! Well done P.T.F.A. Thank you to everyone who helped (and of course to everyone who bought a cup)!

Mr Hurrell has been very busy orgainsing a special treat for us. We were visited at school by some of the cast of Riverdance. It was a fantastic afternoon with a spellbinding performance and workshops for the older children. Click here to see the photos or here to view the Gazzette article.
